Labneh is one of my favorite Dairy products, that I used to eat it at breakfast or brunch time, I spread it over my Ciabatta slices or Pita bread. I prefer the taste of labneh when I add thyme and tomato over it or sometimes I add olives and dried tomatoes ,other times I add Rosemary or dried mint, many herbs can be added over the labneh spread to add more great flavors.
Labneh is an arabic word that refers to the word labn, which means yogurt, but for labneh it is the strained labn(yogurt) to remove its whey, resulting in a relatively thick consistency (between that of conventional yogurt and cheese), while preserving yogurt’s distinctive, sour taste. Labneh is one of the main dishes that should be exist on any Arabian breakfast table, with some olive oil over it, some olives beside it, fresh tomato, and a hot fresh bread in beside, sounds delicious right? 😀 .
I used to prepare these labneh bread slices in any gathering at my house, and my kids always asking me to prepare labneh sandwiches then grill them by using the electric grill, they enjoying eating them at their brunch time.
Labneh can be used too as a dip, I am enjoying eating it with cucumber, carrots and celery.Very healthy and super yummy.
